This week, I interviewed and photographed dozens of Arizona voters for POLITICO on Election Day. Arizona is growing fast and becoming more diverse, turning our state into a complex, sometimes puzzling political mosaic. Three main issues kept surfacing in my conversations: abortion, inflation, and immigration. These were the top concerns for many Arizona voters this year. Nearly everyone I spoke with shared the same feeling—that the country isn’t doing well and something needs to change.
