Not Everyone’s Buying What Billionaires Are Selling

Last night, thousands of Arizonans gathered at Mullett Arena on ASU’s campus for the Fight Oligarchy rally with Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The arena hit capacity, with thousands more gathered outside. The message was clear: working Americans are sick of billionaires buying elections, silencing dissent, flirting with fascism, and tearing apart what’s left of the social safety net. We live in the richest country in the world, yet inequality keeps getting worse every year. Crowds like this one are popping up all over the country because people want a government (and an economy) that works for everyone, not just the ultra-wealthy.
